We're taking a break...

Over the past few months, we have been getting a lot of emails and phone calls about Kyogle Culture, with supporters and advertisers asking us when the next issue will be coming out. We’d like to take the chance to say a very big thank you to those who love our little publication, and to everyone who has either supported us, advertised, or contributed to our wonderful pages! You have helped showcase Kyogle as the vibrant, supportive, and creative community we know and love.

For now… Kyogle Culture is taking a break. We’re unsure when the next issue will start booking or when it might be published and have not yet made plans for a 2023 issue. We LOVE making Kyogle’s only arts and tourism magazine, but over the past few years, it has been difficult to make it financially viable with publication and printing costs rising considerably.

The purpose and mission of Kyogle Culture has always been to celebrate our local culture, artists, creatives, and small businesses and to promote those who might not otherwise be able to afford ‘regular’ marketing. We don’t want to simply ‘put the prices up’ or start charging for the mag, as we feel this may be a barrier to the very ‘makers and creators’ who we set out to promote, celebrate and serve in the first place.

We’re currently looking at other ways to make the publication financially viable, including grants and corporate sponsorship. We have applied for a few options but have not yet been successful. We hope there may be a way to continue to tell your stories and promote the region as a whole through our publication.

We’re not going… we’re just sitting tight for a bit while we work out how to bring you Kyogle Culture in a way that is sustainable.

We so appreciate YOU and all you do here in our community, whether you are a creative, small business, or community group… and we hope to be celebrating you again soon!

Again, many thanks - and keep smiling! Jasmine (Editor) and the Kyogle Culture/Wild Honey Creative team
